About this course

The aim of this course is to give skills, knowledge and confidence to those caring for children in the absence of their parents/carers in case of an emergency situation, they have to deal with chronic or sudden paediatric illness or a paediatric injury.

Parents. nursery workers, childminders, early years workers, lower years school teachers, or anyone else working with children in the presence or absence of the parents or carers.

There are no basic requirements, though as the course is taught in English and there is a multiple choice exam in English, a basic level of the English language is necessary.

This QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is an Ofqual Regulated Qualification accredited by Qualsafe Awards, and is valid for three years. It fulfills Ofsted's first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within The Child Care Register guide).

This course is taught in a fun and engaging, interactive and hands-on way.
