Further your skills and knowledge as a paediatric intensive care nurse with our graduate certificate course in Cambridge. If you're a qualified child nurse and want to develop your ability to deliver quality care, our part-time course is for you.
The paediatric intensive care nursing field is constantly evolving in response to medical and technological advances, and our one-year graduate certificate course will help you keep pace with change.
Our aim is to prepare you to work independently with any infant, child and young person who needs level 1 or 2 care, in or out of the intensive care setting. We'll also train you to care for patients with level 3 needs in intensive care, with the support of a multidisciplinary team.
Together, we'll review different approaches to treatment and care of infants, children and young people. You'll explore a wide range of therapeutic interventions and have the opportunity to apply them while on placements.
In its latest review in 2014, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) found that our students:
- are highly motivated, confident and proud of their courses
- are aware of the NHS Constitution and six C’s
- felt well supported by Anglia Ruskin and our practice partners.
