Course programme

These three-day workshops are designed for those who have already taken a one-day Painting Workshop at the Stained Glass Museum. The course develops the painting techniques further and also includes the designing, cutting and painting of glass to make a panel approximately 12” X 8”. It will not involve the leading and glazing which can be completed at a subsequent one-day workshop.

The group of no more than five participants will be tutored by a professional stained glass artist who will take you through the stages involved in making a stained glass panel.

You will be taught to:

· Design and cartoon a panel
· Take a cutline
· Cut the glass
· Paint and fire trace and matt
· Apply silver stain

The course will include notes and begin with a guided tour of The Stained Glass Museum to study technique and to give you inspiration. Please don’t worry if you don’t have a design idea to bring with you.
