Painting & Decorating Diploma Level 3

Course Overview
This course is designed for those who have already achieved the Diploma Level 2 (or NVQ L2) in Painting & Decorating.
It is ideal for those wishing to gain the advanced skills that can lead to a wide range of career/management opportunities within the trade.
(Those currently employed in the industry can also study towards the NVQ L3)

Course Structure
This is a 1-2 year course with attendance at college for one full day per week (Friday)

Some topics covered include:

• Advanced paperhanging
• Specialist paint techniques
• Planning, monitoring, control & evaluation of operational activities

Candidates may be expected to carry out projects and research in their own time.

Qualification Aims
Successful candidates will achieve:
Diploma Level 3 in Painting & Decorating
(those employed in the trade can also collect Work Based Evidence toward the NVQ Level 3)

Assessments/Examinations
Assessment is carried out continuously throughout the course
