Paper Crafts: Scrapbooking for Beginners
Want to do something different with your photographs? Why not try Scrapbooking?
Scrapbooking is a method for preserving personal and family history in the form of photographs, printed media, and memorabilia contained in decorated albums, or scrapbooks. Acid and lignin-free cardstock pages are decorated with background papers and various accessories, referred to as embelishments. Embelishments include stickers, rub-ons, stamps, eyelets, brads, chipboard elements in various shapes, alphabet letters, lace, wire, fabric, and ribbon. Techniques such as rubber stamping, heat embossing, stencilling and die cutting can be used. This hobby originated in the United States but is now as equally popular in Great Britain. Why not come along to our class and try scrapbooking for yourself!
