About this course
Some prior experience of working with electrical wiring would be an advantage but is not essential.
Tools and books are provided for use within the training centre only. You may wish to purchase your own books prior to coming on the course as they provide a good source of reference. A mobile canteen sells a selection of hot and cold food at lunch time.

Part P Electrical Defined Scope
This course is suitable for those who carry out electrical work as a secondary task to their main role i.e. heating installers, bathroom & kitchen fitter, builders etc.
The training and assessment package has been fully updated to meet the requirements of BS7671:2008 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
4 Day programme
Gain a theoretical and practical experience within the following:
· Supply installation identification· Circuit protective devices
· Electrical installation – visual inspection
· Safe Isolation
· Pre-work survey and electrical tests
· Exchange component
· Supplementary bonding
· Extension to existing circuit
· Install new radial circuit (ring main)
· Convert lighting circuit to 2 way switching
· Install new lighting circuit
· Electrical tests
· Minor works certification
· Electrical installation certificate
· Install central heating wiring
