Description of the Course
This course is designed for gas / heating engineers who need to comply with Part P of the buildings regulations and prove that they are competent to carry out electrical work in dwellings. This qualification will allow candidates to become members of a competent persons scheme.

Course content
The course comprises theory and practical units and delivers those skills required to carry out domestic installation work in accordance with Part P of the building regulations and inspection, testing and certification of newly installed installation work to meet the requirements of BS 7671 and Part P. The course also covers basic building regulations, health and safety, cable calculations and wiring of relevant controls (IEE Wiring Regulations).

Who is the course for?
This 6 week course is designed for those who wish to be able to offer basic domestic electrical work alongside their main trade; this course is specifically designed for Gas and heating engineers, though is also suitable for kitchen fitters and other trades.
