Course Description
This qualification is ideal for anyone wanting to work as an accounting technician. It gives you the relevant and practical skills to do a wide range of accounting and finance jobs.
This course provides the knowledge and skills to perform the tasks demanded by this role; it offers you the chance to gain a useful and practical qualification, while learning at your own pace.
The course is based on two principles:
· doing the actual work, not just learning theory
· achieving competence to nationally agreed standards so that you and your employer have full confidence in the qualification.
What you will Study
The scheme has three stages: NVQ/SVQ pathway
· Foundation NVQ/SVQ in Accounting level 2
· Intermediate NVQ/SVQ in Accounting level 3
· Advanced NVQ/SVQ in Accounting level 4
Each level of the scheme represents a qualification in its own right, and you will be given a certificate for each level completed.
Flexibility
This qualification offers flexibility and can be tailored to suit your individual needs, allowing you to choose whether to do individual or groups of units from the scheme. And it is not compulsory to complete an entire level either; you will gain recognition for each unit achieved.
On Completion
Students will have gained the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification and can pursue options throughout the accounting area.
