This beginners' course is aimed at those interested in taking their first steps into the world of digital photography and image manipulation. The course explains the jargon surrounding digital photography, and will give you the experience to get the best from your digital images.

What qualifications will I need?
Previous computer operation and experience is desirable.

What will I be learning about?
You will be shown how easy it is to transfer your digital pictures onto a PC and how to archive them.
You will learn how to manipulate the images using Adobe Photoshop Elements, to correct and control brightness, contrast and colour, and how to remove unwanted objects from your pictures.
You will also be able to get to grips with the basics of scanning images onto a PC, using appropriate resolution settings and printing out your images onto inkjet and photographic papers.
Learn how to save digital images in appropriate file formats and attach to an e'mail.
