Is it right for me?
Designed as a follow on course to the Blacksmithing Craft AG021, this course is suitable for those with some metalworking/blacksmithing experience and is aimed at developing your skills further.

What qualifications will I need?
Interest and enthusiasm. Minimum age 16. Tetanus protection is recommended.

What will I be learning about?

• Tong making
• Forge welding
• Scrollwork (bevel scroll, split fishtail, halfpenny)
• Die'making
• Decorative twisting
• Decorative punching

What materials are required?
Stout footwear and old clothes. Remove rings and bracelets (health and safety requirement). Tetanus protection is recommended.

What is next?
Ornamental Metalwork in the Garden. Practical Welding.
