Course Content

The aims of this course are to provide you with the knowledge and understanding to enable you to work in a retail environment; and to build your confidence and knowledge, enabling progression into Level 2 retail programmes.

There are five mandatory units:

• Unit 1: Introducing the retail industry
• Unit 2: Help maintain health, safety & security in a retail environment
• Unit 3: Assist with product display to encourage sales
• Unit 4: Contribute to good customer care
• Unit 5: Work effectively in a retail team

Method of Assessment

You will be assessed via:

• Coursework
• Practical demonstration
