This course is designed for Automotive Technicians seeking to advance their qualifications and develop their skills and competence to a higher level to meet the needs of modern technology within the motor industry. The course uses a mixture of theory supported by practical skills and techniques.

The course programme contains seven core units (Graded Unit,Electrical and Electronic Principles, Engine Management, Diagnostics, Engine Technology, Steering and Suspension, Braking and Stability Control) and six optional units including: Communication, Customer Care, Getting Started in Business etc.

A minimum total of twelve credits are required to successfully complete the programme (11 Core credits + 1 Optional credit)

Further Study/Employment
HND in Automotive Engineering (subject to approval) and possible career progression to Diagnostic Technician within the automotive Industry.
