Level: introduction

Course content:
This is a participation class and you can come without a partner, please wear suitable shoes with a small heel and not trainers.
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- Join in social dance using the basic steps in a number of ballroom and Latin-American dances
- Recognize different dance rhythms

PLEASE NOTE: Students are encouraged to change partners in this class. After completing the course, students should be able to:

Course Structure:
The course will include demonstration and one to one tuition in:
Basic steps of ballroom dances e.g. waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, tango)
Basic steps of some Latin-American dances e.g. Rumba, Samba, Jive, Cha Cha)
- Basic steps of some alternative rhythm dances e.g. Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Bossa Nova

Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
