This is a participation class and you can come without a partner, please wear suitable shoes with a small heel and not trainers. After completing the course, students should be able to: - Join in a tea dance using the using- the whole dance floor- in a number of ballroom, alternative rhythm and Latin-American dances. Recognize different dance rhythms. Perform all dances with improved style.

Course content:
This is a participation class and you can come without a partner, please wear suitable shoes with a small heel and not trainers.
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- Join in a tea dance using the using- the whole dance floor- in a number of ballroom, alternative rhythm and Latin-American dances
- Recognize different dance rhythms
- Perform all dances with improved style and footwork
- Have a knowledge of more variations
Course Structure:
The course will include demonstration and one to one tuition in:
New variations in ballroom dances e.g. waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, tango)
New variations in some Latin-American dances e.g. Rumba, Samba, Jive, Cha Cha)
New variations in alternative rhythm dances e.g. Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Bossa Nova
Work on footwork and timing • Work on style • Improving the basic actions

Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
