Is the course for me?
You will train to be a barber in a realistic, industrial barber's shop. The course will develop grooming services whilst giving students the chance to work with the general public or their own models.
What will I learn?
The course will develop your knowledge and skill of barbering, blow drying, cutting, health and safety in the salon. 3 units will cover cover: - Cutting facial hair to shape - Cut hair using barbering techniques - Drying hair to shape and create a finished look. Models are required (students to supply).
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through the observation of practical skills, written, oral, and tests.
What can I do after the course?
You can enrol onto a Level 3 programme at college or enter into employment as a self-employed Barber or men's hair stylist.
