Introduction
This course aims to give an introduction to Reflexology, teaching the important aspects of theory such as what is Reflexology, how it works, the main functions and contra-indications but with emphasis on learning some practical techniques in order to give Reflexology to friends and family. This is non-qualifying course, and will not lead to a professional qualification, nor allow you to be able to carry out Reflexology treatments for money. We will NOT be looking at hand Reflexology nor any anatomy and physiology theory.

Description
At the end of the course, you will be able to: * Recognise what Reflexology is and how it works * Understand the key functions of Reflexology * Note the safety factors such as when not to carry out a Reflexology treatment. * Perform some reflexology techniques with reference to a given sequence.

Duration
2 hours x 10 weeks Please note classes are term time only

Method of Study
For the first session you will need to buy/bring a small towel and a cushion or pillow. Please wear socks and trousers (or a long skirt - not a short skirt or tights). This course is open to both male and female students. NB: If students have any medical concerns as their suitability to participate in this course, please consult your GP.

Progression
This course could lead to a further course such as ITEC. You would need to study ITEC Holistic Massage, which includes Anatomy and Physiology before moving onto ITEC Reflexology, which would qualify you in Reflexology.
