WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE?
You need a full certificate in NVQ Level 1 Beauty Therapy or equivalent, or commercial experience in a salon.

*In addition there is time allocated for individual tutorial, assignment and portfolio workshops

COURSE STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
The syllabus covers 9 units:

• Ensure your own actions reduce the risks to Health & Safety
• Promote additional products or services
• Develop and maintain your effectiveness to work
• Improve and maintain facial skin conditions
• Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments
• Remove hair using waxing techniques
• Provide manicure treatments
• Provide pedicure treatments
• Provide make up treatments

ASSESSMENT
You will be assessed by:

• Written assessment
• Practical assessment
• Oral assessment
• Assignments work

You will build up a portfolio of evidence throughout the course

WHERE COULD THE COURSE LEAD?
You may progress onto Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Level 3 Nail Services, seek employment in a beauty salon, Holistic related studies and Health Farms etc.
