About this course
This course is for students 19 years old and over. No formal entry requirements but students must demonstrate good numeracy and Literacy skills. Non native English speakers: Intermediate English

Course content:

This course covers a range of basic book-keeping techniques including trial balances, petty cash, cash accounts and bank reconciliation, double entry book-keeping, simple trading and profit and loss accounts.
Course Structure:
The course consists of a mixture of lectures, practical and individual work, You will study for 3 hours a week for 10 weeks.

All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.
Assessment:
Continuous assessment by tutor. End of course external examination.

Fees Info
The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
Students provide folders and paper for coursework. It is also advised that students purchase the recommended text book.
