Course Description:
British Sign Language (BSL) is the first language of deaf people.

Course Content
Level 1
Students will learn basic sign language skills as a means of communication with deaf people which may help in the work situation and in social or home life. The course covers useful vocabulary, basic grammar, finger-spelling, number recognition and deaf culture.

Level 2
Students will learn more advanced skills which may help in the work and in social or home life

Assessment and Examinations
The course is divided into 3 units of learning and at the end of each unit there is a practical test. The programme is taught by a deaf person and a first language user of BSL.
