Course description
The equine industry continues to increase in size and complexity. This degree is designed to equip graduates to become key participants in the thriving equine industry. Graduates will combine the skills of scientific understanding with an element of business acumen. Students will be able to choose option modules to reflect their areas of interest. The course is highly practical and vocational, with considerable input from external practitioners working within the industry, and it prepares students to enter a multitude of equine-connected careers. The programme utilises the excellent facilities and expertise of Oxford Brookes University and the practical equine resources provided by Abingdon and Witney College.

Practical equine experience is desirable but not a pre-requisite for entry. Mature students with relevant experience are welcomed as a positive addition to the course. Higher National Diploma and Foundation Degree routes into the course are also available.
If you do not have a science A-level, we encourage you to consider one of our foundation degrees.
