Part Time BTEC Certificate in Preparation for Air Cabin Crew Training

Course Description:
This course develops the skills to meet the needs of the travel industry in relation to cabin crew. It offers a formal qualification that can be achieved through part time study.

Some of the tasks you will do during the course:

  • Safety demonstrations.
  • On-board customer service.
  • Selling skills for cabin crew.


The qualification develops the personal and interpersonal skills essential for success as air cabin crew where effective communication is necessary to meet customer needs.

Assessment and Progression:
The course is assessed through a variety of internally assessed written and practical tasks. Role play and presentations are an important part of the assessment process and students will need to demonstrate good customer service and team working skills.

Students who take the part time course can either continue their studies or, successful completion of the course has led past students into a variety of tourism jobs, for example:

  • Cabin Crew
  • Working in an airport
  • Travel agents



Duration:
This is a part time, one day per week course for 30 weeks starting in September (also available as additional to a full time tourism programme.

The fees for 2010/11 will be £600, plus £65 registration fee
