Course Description:

Eleven units will be covered over a two-year period of study.

- Mechanical Principles
- Mathematics for Technicians
- Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials
- Applications of Mechanical Systems & Technology
- Engineering Drawing for Technicians
Year 2
- Business Systems for Technicians
- Project (Double Unit)
- Further Mechanical Principles & Applications
PLUS (FOR THE MECHANICAL OPTION)
- Principles & Applications of Thermodynamics
- Computer Aided Draughting
PLUS (FOR THE MANUFACTURING OPTION)
- Engineering Secondary and Finishing Processes
- Computer Numerical Control of Machine Tools
Learning will consist of taught lessons, investigations, projects and assignments. Learners will demonstrate an understanding of each unit's outcomes in a variety of ways. These may include assignments, timed assessments, course work. The assessment method will vary depending upon the unit.
