Part-Time BTEC National Certificate In Floristry (LEVEL 3)

This intensive course covers a range of practical designs as well as in-store displays and a wide variety of commercial patterns. You will be taught how to prepare flowers for events such as multi-cultural weddings and encouraged to develop your practical skills by completing 400 hours of work in a floristry business. You will benefit from learning both the Latin and common names of flowers and plant material, together with their uses, as well as a range of business management skills.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, with preferably 1 in Mathematics, English or Science.
National Award in a relevant subject.
First Diploma at Merit or above.

Assessment Method
Continuous assessment through assignments, practical tests and external assessments.

Progression Routes
Successful students can further enhance their skills by enrolling onto the NPTC Advanced National Certificate in Floristry or, should they wish to, straight into the floristry industry.

Specialist Equipment Needed
Flowers will be provided, but students need to bring floristry scissors and knife plus basic floristry sundries. A camera is required to record design work.
