Suitable For

The BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design is a nationally recognised qualification that is equivalent to three A Levels, and therefore provides a natural stepping stone to courses in higher education. It provides opportunities to explore and develop skills in a wide range of Art & Design processes and materials.

During the course you will have the opportunity to specialise in areas such as photography, fine art, ceramics, jewellery, furniture/product design, print or textiles.

Progression

Students who successfully complete the diploma will be eligible to progress onto Higher Education or into a range of trainee jobs within the industry. The course is a foundation for any student wishing to progress to a Higher Education course in this field such as Fine Art, Product Design, Fashion Design, 3D Design and Graphic Design.
