Entry Requirements
You must have relevant industrial and occupational experience and expertise, together with appropriate qualifications at Level 3 or above.

Suitable For

You will need to have 2 candidates who are working towards their NVQ in your relevant subject specialism and will need to ensure that you are able to attend Standardisation Meetings and are accepted onto a College or Training Provider's staffing matrix to be able to assess candidates. In addition, the College or Training Provider will need to be willing to countersign your assessment decisions. We shall require confirmation of the College/Provider's willingness to provide you with this support prior to your enrolling for this qualification.

Method of Assessment
As an assessor, you need to know thoroughly both the Standards for which you are assessing and the job you are assessing. This is why all assessment strategies specify the amount and type of experience expected of assessors.

You will be allocated an assessor who will arrange your induction into the qualification. Your assessor will meet with you on a regular basis to guide you through the Award and to observe you assessing your candidates.
