Part Time C&G Plumbing Technical Certificate/Nvq Level 2

This course is for you if:
You have or are in any position to gain practical experience from an employer, or have had any relevant site-work experience in plumbing pipe-work installation.
Having enrolled on a course, you will be following a structured training programme to further develop and gain new skills according to good industrial practice and current water regulations that will lead to a recognised City and Guild Technical Certificate or NVQ Level 2/3.

Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.

About the course:
This course provides the training and qualifications that you will need to pursue a career in the plumbing industry. In order to achieve an NVQ you must be employed in the plumbing industry, be on an Apprenticeship Programme and be able to give sufficient proof of your skills.

A Technical Certificate is a recognised qualification for unemployed students and those who are new to the industry.

This course provides essential training in Plumbing and gives you experience of all common systems used in domestic, commercial and industrial buildings.

Unit - 208 Electrical supply and earth continuity
Unit - 209 Sheet lead weathering
Unit - 210 Environmental awareness
Unit - 211 Effective working relationships
Unit - 212 Basic plumbing studies
Unit - 213 Basic plumbing studies practical tasks

Assessment:
You must successfully complete
-GOLA online multiple choice examination
-Written questions
-Practical Assessment (Taken when you are ready)

After the course:
Successful completion of this course is our second stage in becoming a qualified Plumber and will provide you with the pre-entry requirements to the 6129 Level 3 course. Students who are sponsored by an employer and on an Apprenticeship Programme can gain an NVQ if they are able to give sufficient proof of their skills
