Course Description

This course provides an introduction to the work of the personnel/human resources department and it identifies the key issues that impact on the delivery of personnel services, using human resource management theory in a workplace context. All Learners will produce a work related project regarding an issue or area within their own HR function which involves researching, analysing and evaluating the subject and providing recommendations.

Entry Requirements
Due to the practical nature of the course learners need to be working within a personnel or HR department. Previous qualifications and work experience will be discussed at enrolment.

Assessment Methods
Learners will undertake coursework assessment by a mixture of written assignment, practical work, presentations and reflective personal reviews together with the project report.
