Course Description
This course is suitable for students who are (or would like to be) employed in the electrical contracting industry.
Successful completion of this qualification will meet the underpinning knowledge requirements of the Electrical Contracting Industry (JIB) 1999 Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Course Structure
The course is a three year course, (2 years to achieve level 2 and 1 year to achieve level 3) offered on a part-time attendance pattern of one day each week for 36 weeks.
To be awarded the 2330 certificate, candidates must be successful in 5 academic units and 4 practical assessments.
As part of the 2330 studies students will undertake practical workshop classes.
Course Entry Requirements
All learners will need to complete an application and interview prior to enrolling.
Applicants should possess 2 GCSE†s at grade D or above in Maths and English. Alternatively mature students must have the ability to achieve Level 1 in a College Assessment.
Course Progression
Successful candidates can progress towards the achievement of an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Engineering.
Successful candidates will progress onto the Level 3 Electro Technical Certificate.
