Description
The first few sessions will be largely introductory and will include workshops on how to effectively critique each other's writing. This time will also be spent gauging what the group want to attain from the course with regards to their own creative work. The lectures will be divided into three sections: Discussion, information and activity. Discussion will take approximately an hour, allowing the group to discuss the merits of each other's work from the previous week. After this, half an hour will be taken to explain new techniques/strategies for developing your writing. There will then be half an hour for these new techniques to be implemented by members of the group (the tutor will be available for assistance and discussion) which will then be finished in their own time. This work will then be shared by e-mail so that participants have enough time to critique each other's work by the next session.
