Course Description
The award is designed for people who wish to internally verify candidates on NVQ programmes. The programme includes operating and evaluating internal assessment and quality assurance systems, supporting assessors, including an observation at a standardisation meeting, monitoring the quality of the assessor?s and meeting external quality assurance requirements. The award is designed for people who have been assessing candidates working towards NVQs for a minimum of 1 year and who can support assessors through observing the quality of their performance & inducting them into their quality systems.

Entry Requirements
A D32/33 or A1 award held for a minimum of 1 year prior to enrolling onto the V1 course. To be able to support a minimum of 2 assessors who are assessing NVQ candidates.

Assessment Methods
A portfolio of evidence which is developed throughout the course containing observations of assessors, an induction pack for assessors, and quality assurance procedures.

Progression
This award will facilitate those candidates wishing to become an external verifier.
