Course Description
The Certificate and Diploma are designed for practising middle managers, who wish to develop their core management skills and practices. These qualifications focus on the personal development of the individual learner by enabling them to relate management theory to work practices within the context of their organisational experience.
A modular based course the Certificate requires completion of any combination to a minimum of 13 credits (2-3 units) whilst the Diploma requires a minimum of 62 credits including completion of all core units Core units Personal Development as a manager & leader, Information based decision making, Performance Management, Resource Management, Meeting Stakeholder & Quality Needs, Conducting a Management Project. Optional Units Project Development & Control, Financial Control, Marketing Planning or Managing Recruitment & Selection.

Entry Requirements
The course is a progression from the Diploma in First Line Management. Candidates will need to have passed the Diploma in First Line Management at Level 3 or hold a first degree and have suitable work experience.

Assessment Methods
Learners will undertake one external written assignment. The remaining coursework will be by written assignment, practical work, presentations and reflective personal views.
