No qualification necessary. It would be useful if learners did have some prior knowledge and experience of the use of PCs or Apple MacIntosh Computers, but it is not essential.

Aimed at: People who have a specific interest in the development of digital media and computer animation.
Additional Information: This exciting new part-time programme produced by the British computer Society has just been introduced this year and provides the basic skills and knowledge to create, produce, edit and share digital images and animation, as well as giving an insight into the world of animated movies and production.
Digital Cre8or is designed to meet the needs of people who want to make the most of digital media and computers. The programme encourages learners to create real life digital media projects that build into an innovative digital e-porfolio. Digital Cre8or develops learners skills and understanding in creating and sharing Digital Audio, Digital Images, Digital Video and Digital Animation and is taught and assessed by blending online and tutor-supported learning.

- Introduction to Digital Audio Understanding digital audio concepts and how they affect what the end user hears.
- Introduction to Digital Still Images Understanding, capturing and manipulating still images.
- Introduction to Moving Image Language
- Introduction to Digital Video
- Storytelling with Animation Working with digital animation in its different forms.
- Sharing with Optical Media This unit provides learners with a basic understanding of technologies such as DVD.
- Sharing on the Internet
- Sharing using Multimedia Presentations
- Digital Cre8or Advanced and to programmes at John Wheatley College in NC Sound Engineering, NC Computing and NC Photography.
