The C&G 2357-44 NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations is aimed at people wishing to work as qualified electricians in the building services engineering sector. Together with the C&G 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations it makes you into a fully competent electrician.

You will have to have completed your C&G 2365 L2 Certificate and L3 Diploma in Electrical Installations in order to book onto this course.

Candidates for this course will need to be working within the electrical trades, under the supervision of a qualified electrician.

This course requires a good level of English and Maths. You will need a GCSE Grade C or higher in English and Maths. If you do not have existing qualifications in these two subjects, you can come into college for an initial assessment.

The qualification is achieved through portfolio building, assignments, course attendance, external assessment and workplace observations of competence. The qualification covers the following:

  • Induction to qualification and on-line portfolio

  • Unit 311: Workplace assessment on health and safety

  • Unit 312: Workplace assessment of working with environmental technologies

  • Unit 315: Workplace assessment of planning and preparing for an electrical installation

  • Unit 316: Workplace assessment of terminating a variety of components

  • Unit 317: Workplace assessment of inspection and testing

  • Unit 318: Workplace assessment of fault finding and rectification

  • 1 day college workshop as preparation for AM2 assessment

  • Unit 399: AM2 Assessment incl. 1 day refresher at AM2 site

  • 2357/2365 Bridging Unit and Assignments

  • C&G 2382: 17th Edition Wiring Regulations 3 day course and exam
