Is this course right for me?
A reflexologist applies manual pressure to specific areas on your feet in order to rebalance 'energy' in your body and stimulate natural healing processes. This course is the first entry to Reflexology techniques and principles.
What will I be learning?
Students will learn Reflexology massage routines. The course covers the history of Reflexology as well as dealing with the practical current day applications of this treatment. Students will develop knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology. The course includes a diploma in Health & Safety.
How will I learn?
You will be continually assessed throughout the course by way of direct observation, oral questions, written tasks (projects) and final written tests as a part of this qualification. Health and Safety has an external exam that must also be completed.
What else might I want to know?
A salon tunic is required as well as a kit for use during treatments and text book. There is no fee remission available on this course.
Those joining the course are invited to be become student members of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
What can I do afterwards?
Students can add to their portfolio of treatments from the selection of courses offered at South Devon College.
