Additional Information
This qualification is designed for door supervisors already working in licensed retail or wishing to start work in the industry; and is awarded to those who pass the 2 examinations covering the basic knowledge and responsibilities of the occupation. This nationally recognised qualification will be the industry standard and will enable a door supervisor to apply for a licence to practise. The Security Industry Authority (SIA) issues licences to door supervisors who meet their criteria. In the interests of the industry as a whole and in support of its licence to practise, the SIA invited BIIAB and City & Guilds to work together to develop the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors. To get an SIA licence you will need to satisfy the 3 requirements: -
* Pass an identity check
* Pass a criminal records check
* Possess a recognised door supervisor qualification
