Drama Improvisation Workshop
Level: introduction
Course content:
This course is for people who want to learn basic improvisation and performance skills for acting. Many students also find the course a fun way to improve their confidence for public speaking and presentations.
By the end of the course you will have learnt:
- warm up techniques,
- basic improvisation skills,
- use of status in a scene,
- basic character development,
- initial voice projection,
- movement and mime skills,
- use of space.
Course Structure:
A workshop format with practical demonstrations, drama games and exercises, group and paired work, all with advice and input from your tutor
Course resources:
All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.
Assessment:
Tutor observation and feedback. Individual Learning Plans. Student and peer self assessment. Sharing of work in group.

Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
