Licence categories are: D1, D1+E, D, D+E All truck (LGV) drivers will have to gain this qualification by completing 35 hours of training (5 days) before Sept 2014. Licence categories are: C1, C1+E, C, C+E The Driver CPC for LGV drivers came into force on 10 September 2009. It is a scheme for LGV (and PCV drivers) who drive professionally throughout the UK. It is being developed as a requirement of the EU Directive 2003/59, which is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of professional LGV and PCV drivers throughout their working life. Courses include: * Transport Health & Safety (CIEH) - 7hrs * Dangerous goods awareness requirements - 7hrs * Close quarter manoeuvring - 3.5hrs * Driver welfare - 3.5hrs * Customer Care - 3.5hrs * Manual handling (CIEH) - 3.5hrs * Safe loading of vehicle - 3.5hrs * Dealing with accidemts & incidents - 3.5hrs * SAFED - 7hrs * SAFED refresher - 3.hrs * Drivers hours and the working time directive - 3.5hrs * Digital tachograph - 3.5hrs * Checks and defect reporting - 3.5hrs * Driver development - 7hrs * Risk Assessment (CIEH) - 7hrs * ADR - 7hrs

Course length:
Candidates need to undertake 35 hours Periodic Training within five years .

Venues around Yorkshire and at client's own premises

Start Date:
Training can be undertaken at any time of the year.

Additional info:
Irrespective of when or how a driver obtains the Driver CPC, he/she must complete a total of 35 hours Periodic Training within the following five years to keep the Driver CPC valid. LGV Drivers who are exempt from the Driver CPC via acquired rights will have to complete their periodic Driver CPC by September 2014
