This course is assessed through a formal end of course written Examination covering the mandatory units, together with a mix of on going end of unit examinations and practical laboratory exercises. A number of support subject are assessed by learning outcome assignment.

The course includes:
Single Phase AC Circuit, Mathematics for Engineering 1, Electrical Networks and Resonance, Electrical Safety, Fundamentals of Control Systems and Transducers, Information Technology: Applications Software, Electrical Machine Principles, Three Phase Systems, Electricity Power Systems, Power Electronics, Applications of Electrical and Electronic Instruments, Communications: Practical Skills, Mathematics for Engineering 2, and the Electrical Engineering Graded Unit.

On-Line -Blended Learning , which requires access to the internet will be used in this course.
