This course is designed to prepare people for work in the occupation of Electrical Installation. It has been specifically developed for delivery in College using simulated conditions. Assessment is based on candidates demonstrating their knowledge and practical competence.

Entry Process:
All applicants will be interviewed prior to acceptance for the course. An interview will be arranged at the earliest opportunity after receiving your application.

Assessment:
Students undertake practical assessment tasks and an external City & Guilds multiple choice paper. A summary of the content: Installation work and regulations Industrial studies Science and principles Practical activities (workshop).

Progression Routes:
The course is considered to be a pre-apprenticeship qualification, gained before moving on to employment as an apprentice and completing NVQ Levels 2-3 on a part-time basis thereafter.
