ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

Course Summary:
Designed to provide English language tuition for learners for whom English is not their first language.

Course Content:
General and specialised English for all speakers of other languages
Workshops focusing on reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar
Examination preparation classes for all major accredited ESOL exams (SQA ESOL Units and Courses, Cambridge and IELTS)
Use of ICT integrated into the curriculum

Assessment:
Regular homework
Oral and written progress test in class
End-of-block assessments
Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) ESOL Awards
University of Cambridge (ESOL) examinations: FCE and CAE
