Introduction
This is a course for people who need to build on their existing pre-intermediate level of English.

Description
Students will be confident in spoken and written English and be preparing for the world of work or mainstream study. Students will work towards the Cambridge Skills for Life ESOL Entry 3 at this level. Citizenship forms a key part of this course. Students will be more independent and be able to manage their own learning, e.g. keeping course files, preparing for exams and writing CVs. More emphasis is placed on the development of accuracy and fluency. Topics include Living in Capital Cities, People, the Law and Education.

The course consists of classroom work, computing, audio visual aids and visits to places of interest.

Progression
Successful completion of this course enables you to study higher level ESOL, to find employment opportunities or acceptance onto mainstream college courses.
