Course Summary

It is also appropriate for those seeking enhanced career prospects in civilian administrative and management roles within the public services.
Course Structure
Students will develop a broad multi-agency knowledge by studying a variety of modules, some of which will be directly related to the work placements that are integral to the degree.
Modules include:
Activity Management, Values, Practices and History of Uniformed Public Services, Teamwork and Leadership, Sociology, Law, Criminology, Emergency and Disaster Management, Management and Decision Making, and Management and Operations.
Work Placements
Students will be expected to arrange a suitable work placement on which to base the professional practice content of this degree. Assistance in finding an appropriate placement will be available.
Assessment
Assessment is through a variety of methods such as portfolios, practical and written assignments and case studies.
After the Course
Students have entered employment in the Immigration Service, Armed Forces, Police, Fire, Ambulance, and Security Services. Students can also progress to the final year of BA (Hons) Professional Studies or BA (Hons) Business Management at UCS.
