Course Details

The course is aimed at any individual who has an interest in cooking, employed or individuals wishing to re-train in the area of the Hospitality industry and gain a recognised qualification. Practical and related theory units that will be covered are: Soups Meat and poultry dishes Pastry products Pasta products Monitoring Health and Safety Vegetable dishes Rice dishes Food safety With the option to study for: Foundation Food Safety Foundation Health and Safety The may incur additional costs) Each unit is practically assessed through negotiation with your individual tutor. You will also be assessed by written questioning to assess your understanding units being undertaken.

Qualifications required:
No formal qualifications are necessary but you are required to be enthusiastic, good attendance/time keeper and able to work as part of a team.
