The continuous assessment of your work in class will count for up to 40% of your final mark. 20% of the marks are allocated for Speaking and Listening, 10% for Reading and 10% for Writing.
The remaining 60% of the marks are awarded for performance in two end-of-year exam papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 both last for 2 hours, and involve tasks based on an anthology of material which is given out to students about eight weeks before the actual exam.
Both papers test reading comprehension as well as writing for different purposes.
