Level:
2

Course Type:
Part Time

Assessment and Progression:
All four language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - are practised intensively and carry equal weight in the final GCSE examination. Each skill is assessed at three levels (in two tiers) and students are entered at their appropriate level for each skill. Overall grades A* - G are awarded. Course work can now be an integral part of the examination, taking the place of the written test. However the written test remains as an option. Reports on students' progress are collated and updated on a regular basis and are available to both students and tutors upon application.

Progression
A GCSE in a language can add to your GCSEs and provide a starting point for further study at A Level.
