Entry Requirements
16-18 year-olds will require Grade D GCSE Maths.
All applicants will require an informal interview with the course tutor before commencing the course.
There is no entry requirement for mature students (19 years+ ).

Suitable For

All students with minimum entry requirements, who wish to further their career prospects or education.

Course Content

Students will study four subject areas, spread over three modules:

• Number
• Algebra
• Handling Data
• Geometry

Students will use the integrated IT programme 'Headstart' and study materials will be provided online via the College VLE.

Method of Assessment
AQA Exam Board Modular course, with external exams in November, March and June. Two papers for each of three modules, one calculator and one non-calculator.

All results contribute to one overall grade.

Progression

A good pass will allow candidates to progress to A Level Mathematics.
