Fees: £1610 per year. Prospective students should apply to their Local Education Authority (LEA) for a tuition fee grant and an Assembly Learning Grant following acceptance on the course. Full information will be provided at interview.

Course Description: This is a nationally recognised qualification to work in the post-compulsory sector (broadly, further education, adult and community education, work-based training and development). The emphasis throughout the course is to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of successful practice in PcET and confidence as a professional practitioner.
It will provide a basis for you to achieve the full professional status of Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) after the required period of professional formation working in the sector. With guidance, you are encouraged to take major responsibility for planning and managing your professional experiences and progress.
The course includes identifying needs, planning for learning, managing learning, assessment and evaluation of learning. Other themes include diversity, equal opportunities, inclusive learning, curriculum and policies in PcET. The course will continue to meet the requirements of Health Inspectorate Wales for qualifying professional educators in the NHS.
