  • Course Description: The aim of this programme is to allow candidates to extend knowledge and skills developed at Level 1. Candidates continue to learn, develop and practice a wider range of skills that are required for employment and/or career progression within the Automotive Sector.

    The following modules are covered:
    • Carry out Routine Vehicle Maintenance
    • Remove and Replace Engine Units and Components
    • Remove and Replace Auxiliary Electrical Units and Components
    • Chassis Units and Components
    • Vehicle Transmission
    • Driveline Units and Components
    • Conduct Pre and Post work vehicle inspections


    Entry Requirements:
    • Level 1 or equivalent qualifications are necessary and the applicants must possess enthusiasm and commitment to obtain a career in motor vehicle work.
    • The ability to read and interpret written tasks and to write answers in a legible and understandable form will be necessary.


    Progression/Career Opportunities: Secure full-time employment and/or apprenticeship or progression to Level 3.
