ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 24 to be eligible for funding.

Applicants should have reached a reasonable standard of education and possess the necessary motivation, commitment to study and awareness of the demand of the programme. All applicants will be required to attend an interview and undertake an initial assessment.


PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
The programme is based on units of competence leading to accreditation at the appropriate level and covers areas such as:

Artwork and imaging software;
Emails;
Evaluation of the impact;
Internet and Intranet;
IT security for users; and
Spreadsheet, database and website software.
PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
After the successful completion of the Information Technology Apprenticeship, Apprentices will gain the following awards:

NVQ Level 2 in IT;
Information Technology Technical Certificate;
Key Skills Application of Number Level 1; and
Key Skills Communication Level 2.
ASSESSMENT STRUCTURE Assessor visits the workplace monthly to assess qualification progress
