About this course
You should be either currently working or previously working within the industry. This is primarily for field, desk, staff engineers, staff responsible for authorising accident repairs and those engaged in carrrying out repairs.

To provide a recognised standard of expertise for those working in the accident repair industry
What will I learn?
You will complete four units in two years. The units are Law(common and criminal), Road Transport Law, Estimating and Laws of Motion(including accident reconstruction).
How will I be assessed?
The assessments are in the form of externally set examinations that take place at the beginning of June each year on the collegiates premises.
What can I do after the course?
You can gain a level of membership of the Institute of Automotive Engineering Assessors. The level of membership on a number of factors such as industrial experience or apprenticeship. The highest level of membership will require satisfactory completion of a further short course at "Mira" arranged by the institute.
